About Costume to Custom
Costume to Custom is my long-time jewelry repurposing project. Although it's gone through several iterations, its mission has always remained the same: save jewelry from the landfill. Currently, Costume to Custom mostly consists of costume and fine jewelry I've found while looking for jewelry to use for puppetry. (Yup...puppetry!) These eclectic beauties were languishing at resale shops, thrift stores, estate sales, and auctions. Unwanted and forgotten, many were headed to the trash (or for the precious metal recycler, at best). My hope is that as Costume to Custom jewelry, these pieces will float back into the world as wearable emblems of arete (excellence, virtue, greatest potential).

Costume to Custom Online Shop Details
Jewelry is fully cleaned and lightly polished. Whenever possible, maker and metal/stones/materials are identified. All clasps and findings are fully functional, and stones are secure. However, as items were previously owned, some signs of wear are to be expected.
